Concept[]

The synapsid dinosaurs are a group of human descendants which convergently evolved like theropod dinosaurs in the future. There are currently five confirmed genera and six species as of October 13, 2018. The synapsid dinosaur category can be accessed here in depth on the DinoCoat Wiki.

Parapithecus[]

Parapithecus americus[]

Parapithecus americus is the type species of the basal synapsid dinosaur genus Parapithecus. It is from what is now the eastern United States and is slowly taking up a predatory niche due to the lack of competition from wolves and mountain lions. Parapithecus americus lived 500 thousand years in the future and has taken up a more bent over position than its direct ancestors, Homo sapiens, for stability and speed. It is approximately between 3-4 feet tall at the shoulders and lives its life as a shoreline hunter. Its name means "Distant Ape from the Americas."

Lupomimus[]

Lupomimus dipodelli[]

Lupomimus dipodelli is the type species of the genus Lupomimus. It is larger and stronger than its ancestor Parapithecus, at just a little over four feet at the shoulders. Its preferred prey items are small deer, but it is capable of hunting other things such as its smaller relative Rostruvenator.

Rostruvenator[]

Rostruvenator icthyensis[]

Rostruvenator icthyensis is the type species of the genus Rostruvenator. It was a small species and coexisted with Lupomimus dipodelli, occasionally having to watch out for them.

Velocinychus[]

Velocinychus gorgodon[]

Velocinychus gorgodon is the type species of the genus Velocinychus. It lived 20 million years in the future and is missing a claw.

Homeonychus[]

Homeonychus mimipteryx[]

Homeonychus mimipteryx is the type species of the genus Homeonychus. It is as tall as a standing man at the shoulders and its most notable feature is its wing-like membranes on the arm, something retained by previous species of its genus.

Homeonychus polari[]

Homeonychus polari is a polar species of the genus Homeonychus. It has a large body and fur-covered arms for insulating heat in the cold North.
